By the time this post goes up Joe Biden will have given the State of the Union address, in which he announced the U.S. military will be deployed to Gaza to build a pier so that relief ships can get aid to the Palestinian people faster. I don't know who he's trying to impress; as we reported earlier, his Hamas-sympathizer base tried to block "Genocide Joe's" motorcade route to the State of the Union address. Something tells me the speech will start on time and those protesters will have been moved.
Biden insists there will be no boots on the ground in Gaza — they're going to do this from offshore without ever touching the soil. I don't know how that works, or how long it's going to take to build. It sounds like an awful risk.
Man, this is giving me 1983 Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon vibes... https://t.co/QGfom0pLV8

Building these is not about snapping your fingers. This could be a mess real fast. But Biden admin, unable to control Israel, seems intent on taking a massive risk to appease the craziest 5 percent of progrsssive voters. pic.twitter.com/qXUjVjLm78

Biden's trying to get through billions in aid to Israel while also air-dropping aid to the Palestinians — aid which is promptly scooped up by Hamas, who are embedded in the civilian population.
This could be vaporware.

Or it could be get-turned-into-vapor-ware.

I don't think the Gazans will welcome American soldiers as heroes or protectors.

And they’ll just blow it up after it’s built.

I don't know how long it takes to build one of these, but Biden seems to be getting the idea that this war isn't going to be wrapped up before the election.
Prediction – not a single American general or admiral will resign in disgust at this proposed mission to protect Hamas.

I'm confused Colonel, are these the same people that are still holding six American hostages?

1983 Joe Biden would like a word with 2024 Joe Biden about putting American boots on the ground in a Middle East war zone https://t.co/csQyOnvHnM

If Israel isn’t letting enough aid into Gaza, why are the contents of 250 aid trucks (a whole day’s worth) just sitting on the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom, waiting for the UN to pick it up?
— Eylon Levy (@EylonALevy) March 7, 2024
The problem isn’t getting aid INTO Gaza. It’s getting it AROUND Gaza.
This is a bad idea. The limiting factor in Gaza is distribution inside Gaza, not getting aid to Gaza. How about letting Israel win the war and then getting international aid organizations other than UNRWA into Gaza to help move the aid? Instead we have this risky photo-op gimmick https://t.co/CQ3WqIwiqS

Biden really wants those Muslim votes in the swing state of Michigan.
