Biden's Temporary Pier in Gaza Giving Jim Geraghty Beirut, Lebanon Vibes

By the time this post goes up Joe Biden will have given the State of the Union address, in which he announced the U.S. military will be deployed to Gaza to build a pier so that relief ships can get aid to the Palestinian people faster. I don't know who he's trying to impress; as we reported earlier, his Hamas-sympathizer base tried to block "Genocide Joe's" motorcade route to the State of the Union address. Something tells me the speech will start on time and those protesters will have been moved.

Biden insists there will be no boots on the ground in Gaza — they're going to do this from offshore without ever touching the soil. I don't know how that works, or how long it's going to take to build. It sounds like an awful risk.

Biden's trying to get through billions in aid to Israel while also air-dropping aid to the Palestinians — aid which is promptly scooped up by Hamas, who are embedded in the civilian population.

I don't know how long it takes to build one of these, but Biden seems to be getting the idea that this war isn't going to be wrapped up before the election.

Biden really wants those Muslim votes in the swing state of Michigan.
