So we're doing this again. The media is going to tell us about the word "jihad" and its many possible meanings. We've been told before that jihad is an internal spiritual conflict that must be overcome. So when the leader of Hamas says from Qatar that he's calling for a worldwide day of jihad, encouraging Muslims bordering Israel to invade, "jihad" means "holy war."
Britain's news channel GB News talked to a former detective superintendent at the Metropolitan Police about the massive pro-Palestinian street protests in England, and though he's no austere religious scholar, he knows jihad can mean different things.
'Jihad means a lot of different things to many different people.'

I thought a ‘non-crime-hate-incident’ depended on how a person perceived how a perpetrator was saying something 🤔

Cops in the U.K. will arrest you for any number of thoughtcrimes, but calling for jihad in the streets while waving the Palestinian flag could mean a lot of things to a lot of people.
