I'd read that crime is actually down, though you wouldn't know it scrolling through Twitter/X. There was that great video of two store owners in New York City beating a shoplifter with a stick, but of course, they're being charged. Everyone knows that you're just supposed to let shoplifters walk out the door with as much as they can carry.
CNN is reporting that there's a crime surge in Oakland, California and that police are advising residents to carry air horns to alert the neighborhood if they spot an intruder. But what do you do when you hear that air horn? Certainly not grab your gun. Instead, you should lock yourself in your house which is equipped with bars over the windows.

CNN reports:
After 60-year-old retiree David Schneider was shot and killed here while trimming a tree in his yard, his neighbor, Toni Bird, said she retreated indoors.
“People aren’t feeling safe out of their house,” she said. “It makes sense that you would want to protect your house then, right? You would barricade it.”
Amid a surge in crime in Oakland, California, police have advised residents to use air horns to alert neighbors to intruders and add security bars to their doors and windows.
Bird, who moved to Oakland 2 1/2 years ago, said she took their advice to heart. She now has three air horns and five security cameras around her home.
Three air horns?
We can no longer protect you. Good luck.

Residents are also encouraged to purchase a second car in the event their primary car is stolen. #thriving

Also sensible to purchase a second air horn, in case the first is stolen

1. MSM sanctioned Airhorn
2. MSM hated AR-15

Research indicates that firearms are 100% more effective than air horns when dealing with intruders.

It really is pathetic. I don't think there is a solution — crime has been normalized. Looters are given free rein, shoplifters are coddled, and home invaders livestream themselves breaking in in hopes of going viral and the post photos of their loot on Instagram.
