OK, this is pretty funny. When you pull up Alyssa Farah Griffin’s Twitter bio, the first word is, “Conservative.” And it’s highly possible that is the most conservative co-host on “The View” — like the New York Times hiring David French to present the conservative perspective. While Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign launch hit a few technical bugs, critics said that he should have just announced on cable news.
Griffin, who’s limited replies to her tweet, says that anyone running for president is going to have to talk to and meet with unfriendly audiences.
People running for President need to be able to talk to & meet w/unfriendly audiences. Hiding out in Right wing media is a recipe for failure but also a disservice to voters.
If you’re running to be POTUS for all Americans, u need to be able to talk to people you disagree with.

Is this an invitation to “The View,” then? You lie about the man’s policies enough.
Does DeSantis really need to appear on MSNBC, for example? His communications team has made it a habit to post the ridiculously slanted emails they get asking for comment from the governor — “I’m writing a hit piece about DeSantis being a fascist authoritarian and was wondering if you’d like to comment … my press deadline is in five minutes.” Why give them the attention?
The ABC gossip parade of misinformation show you currently co-host labeled him a homicidal sociopath. https://t.co/nkGmqXsw1D

"Why won't he go on CNN or The View" is a fundamental misunderstanding of how he got to be a legitimate contender for the GOP nomination and I'm not sure they actually understand this.
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) May 25, 2023
Exactly.
Ron DeSantis needs to talk to other media sources, like how Chris Sununu talks to Meet The Press every week, or takes Tara Palmeri for convertible rides and is is polling at about 1%

Joe Biden has been hiding in the basement since 2020 and yells randomly at reporters https://t.co/rNhdMQaCGi

How many clips are there of DeSantis battling with hostile reporters during his time as governor? 500? 1000?
He announced his presidential campaign *yesterday* https://t.co/uDW9W5hwcH

Well, first, it's the Republican primary.
Second, no sane Republican takes your advice. https://t.co/PYvfqUFeVw

It is an everyday occurance that DeSantis is taking on unfriendly press.
Biden? Yeah, not so much. https://t.co/zdSeH8c9UP

Can anyone link me to the video of her responding with revulsion to her cohost's claim that Thomas and Scott do not know what it means to be black? https://t.co/uPn9wfr3wu

I wanted to reply to this, but she has restricted her replies to friendly audiences only. https://t.co/mlsv5G9K5B

Why is he hiding out on a channel that has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined https://t.co/aBEDcxTxVl

Name the last interview @JoeBiden granted to an adversarial media outlet. https://t.co/PBwAEJ9WON

They’ve already said that Joe Biden will mostly be off the campaign trail and instead hoping that Donald Trump and DeSantis cancel each other out.
Blowing off “The View” is the best move DeSantis could make.
