Here's the Montana state rep who'd rather her daughter commit suicide than transition

As Twitchy has reported, the Associated Press is madly in love with transgender Montana state representative Zooey Zephyr, who was banned from the floor for the rest of the legislative session after saying she hoped Republican lawmakers saw blood on their hands for voting for a ban on “gender-affirming care” for minors in the state. The AP has done at least four stories on Zephyr, noting at first that she was — gasp! — misgendered by fellow legislators.

As with most mainstream media outlets, the AP is all-in on gender-affirming care for minors, whether that consists of puberty blockers, hormone therapy, or even surgery — they just assume the issue is settled and that children will commit suicide if not granted these “life-saving” treatments.

NBC News, as well as its LGBTQ imprint, NBC Out, reported that Montana State Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe said on the House floor that she’d rather her daughter die of suicide than allow her to transition.

Note: She never indicated that her daughter was transgender.

Yahoo News reporter Alex Cooper said she’d prefer her daughter die by suicide than transition:

Something tells us there may be more to this story, seeing as the press is more than a little biased. Greg Price reports:

” … Her daughter is not transgender, she didn’t mention anything about her being trans. She told a heartfelt story about her daughter’s struggles with suicidal thoughts and how she had to not give in to her emotional demands.

Here is Rep. Seekins-Crowe’s full response.”

Here’s the full floor speech from which the viral clip was taken:

We’re glad The Daily Beast put their very best intern on the story: “How Very Pro-Life.”

“… anti-trans Montana lawmaker.”

She meant she wouldn’t do anything her suicidal child demanded she do to keep her from committing suicide, because a suicidal child is not in the frame of mind to make those decisions. “Oh honey, you’re going to kill yourself if we don’t take you to a surgeon to have your breasts removed? OK, I’ll set up an appointment right away.” This whole “suicide” argument is extortion. And it’s utterly shameful that all of these media outlets are leaving these stories up with no follow-up.
