As Twitchy reported earlier this week, Gov. Gavin Newsom returned to his own state of California after trashing Florida and became perturbed by a man who asked him as he walked down the sidewalk what his plan was to deal with the fentanyl crisis. “You tell me what to do” was the governor’s answer. In case you missed it:

It appears that Newsom decided he should have some sort of plan, so on Friday he announced that he was going to have the California National Guard partner with local law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and open-air drug dealing in San Francisco.

Rebel News reports:
… the announcement is expected to spark polarized reactions in San Francisco, where debates over how to tackle the city’s drug epidemic crisis and whether cracking down on drug dealing is an effective solution continue to rage.
The Tenderloin and South of Market districts are at the epicenter of the city’s drug and homelessness crises, with open-air drug dealing and drug use on sidewalks. New data reveals a 41% increase in overdoses in San Francisco during the first three months of this year compared to the same period in the previous year. Accidental drug overdoses claimed 200 lives during this period, with the majority involving fentanyl.
So the city is going to stop enabling drug addiction?
Did the cartels miss a payment?

Has someone explained to him the drugs aren't coming from San Francisco. They are coming from Baja and Sinaloa.

Why did he wait until now to do something about it? I guess better late than never.

How did he ever find the time when he has been devoting 100% of his time critiquing Florida?

He can’t run for President with his state in its current condition.

One week later…

They are grooming him to run for president, so he needs to start cleaning up his act a little bit. He really just doesn’t give a shit but he does want to run for president.
— PCL (@stjohns1024) April 22, 2023
He probably thinks this will be considered a “conservative” move and appeal to the voters in the red states he prohibits his government workers from visiting.
