I’ve done a lot of posts on teachers proudly going on TikTok and telling their LGBTQ students that if their parents don’t accept them for who they are, “I’m your parents now” or “You can call me mom.” As I say all the time, parents are always seen as the enemy and the obstruction to trans kids coming out because parents don’t have the educational background or training that their teachers do.
In that spirit, we were amused by this father’s reaction to his daughter finally coming out to him as gender fluid.

It means you can’t commit to being trans but you’d like to be.
Sounds like a loving caring father. She is so lucky. We need more fathers like him. Respect 🫡 pic.twitter.com/ed9NB73U8D

More parents should do this instead of entertaining the delusion.

Dad was supposed to say “I support you and you’re so brave to say this” and then give her a big hug and then call all the neighbors to tell them the good news.
