Yes, Republicans have declared war on Disney by taking away advantages that no other corporation in the state of Florida has enjoyed. Disney World was given all sorts of special considerations back in the ’60s to get up and running and has since become its own self-governing state within a state.
In any case, the current “war” was started by Disney, which, on behalf of its LGBTQ employees, insisted that kindergarteners through third-graders have teacher-led sex education about sexual orientation and gender identity. Disney decided (belatedly) to enter the culture wars and found out that the Parental Rights in Education bill was a lot more popular than they’d imagined.
Hillary Clinton really seems to like posting photos of herself when she was a lot younger, and she thought she’d declare her solidarity with Disney by posting a photo of her and Bill taking Webb Hubbell’s daughter to Disney World for the day.
