We hear this argument all the time: “If” blacks started buying and carrying guns, it would spur white conservatives to finally push for gun control. Not surprisingly, blacks do own guns, and conservatives encourage them to buy more: The Second Amendment applies to everyone.
Here’s another hot take from this week about open carry. Liberal white folks should apparently encourage blacks to start open carrying; that would finally get white conservative Republican legislatures to entertain restrictions on open carry.
The only way to get people to start calling for controls on "open carry" is to encourage a bunch of Black people to walk around in stores, restaurants and churches heavily armed.

I’m always surprised how people speak about open carry on social media. As if it’s some scary, foreign thing that never happens.. I guess it depends on where you live but in south Louisiana you see people open carrying all the time. Nobody bats an eye.
