As Twitchy reported Tuesday, a transgender Lutheran pastor in Fargo, North Dakota, told a small congregation that in the wake of the Covenant School mass shooting, the trans community was like Jesus, who was betrayed and crucified. “Some folks have tried to focus on eradicating trans people as a solution, because they have been waiting, just waiting for an opportunity such as this. They’ve been waiting for a reason, any reason to stoke their hatred,” Micah Louwagie said. Once again, the focus isn’t on the Christians who were slaughtered but on the supposed backlash against the trans community.
Today we’re looking at a pastor in drag going on about the United Church of Christ and how it claims to be accepting, but if it truly were, every church would have a trans person of color in it. Yes, the UCC is built upon white supremacy and American colonialism. Whoever posted the clip probably cut out the obligatory land acknowledgment.
