We skimmed Media Matters senior writer John Knefel’s 5877-word piece on the significant ties Christopher Rufo has to Russ Vought, the Christian nationalist head of the MAGA-aligned Center for Renewing America looking for those “significant ties.” Knefel can’t even place Rufo and Vought in the same room together; their “significant tie” is that they reportedly share the same goals. Probably the most concrete tie comes at the end, which reveals that Rufo worked with @wokal_distance on his “Parent’s Guide to Radical Gender Theory,” and @wokal_distance is a visiting fellow at CRA. Shock: “The two interact regularly on Twitter, praising each other’s acumen and execution.”
