Children’s book author Chaya Raichik, the woman behind the Libs of TikTok account, was declared a “stochastic terrorist” because her reposting of videos originally posted by the Boston Children’s Hospital gender clinic was responsible for the hospital receiving a bomb threat (although reports of the hospital being evacuated turned out to be false). That term, stochastic terrorism, has been thrown around a lot as an attempt to shut down conservative voices.
Raichik was meant to host a story hour this Sunday, but that’s been canceled because of threats of unsafe behavior, and you can’t take chances when children are around.
We have received threats of potentially inappropriate and unsafe behavior at the NYC story hour with Chaya Raichik on Sunday and have advised Chaya we cancel the event. With children being involved, we don’t want to take any chances.
