Teacher explains she took down video because the criticisms weren't up to her rhetorical standard

Hey VIPs —

This isn’t the most shocking video I could do a post on, but I really wanted our readers to see it, because it serves as further evidence that in order to be a teacher in 2023, you must have 1) clown-colored hair, 2) ridiculous glasses, and 3) a septum piercing. OK, so this seventh-grade teacher isn’t wearing glasses, but I’ll bet she owns a pair.

She explains why she took down her previous video once the right-wing noticed it. It’s not that she doesn’t stand by what she said — the problem is that the responses didn’t live up to her standard. Critics weren’t even using quotation marks properly, which is something she’s teaching her students right now, between lessons on pronouns and her life as a non-binary person.

Maybe a TikTok video isn’t the best venue to argue what she’s arguing if she really wants a debate.

The same person? Mx. Lane Cogdill, as her students are directed to call xem. It just so happens we have that video saved in a tab:

See! She does have goofy glasses! I called it.

I have a sister who was an elementary school teacher and a cousin who teaches high school, and I swear they’re both normal. Then again, they were hired decades ago, when their classrooms weren’t half trans kids to be coddled and catered to.
