In case you missed it earlier, Billboard Chris posted a very lengthy but worthwhile thread from a whistleblower who used to work intake at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Gender Clinic. She eventually left that position after seeing the “first do no harm” rule being violated.
If you’ve seen any debates over “gender-affirming care” for minors, you’ve probably been told that you can either have a trans kid or a dead kid, as trans minors who don’t receive “treatment” are likely to kill themselves.
This study is from last October, but it bears a second look:
"If you're looking for suicide reduction, this isn't it."
Doctors sound alarm on sex reassignment surgery.
"If you follow them out 10 years … they have a completed suicide rate 19 times that of the general population … no improvement there."

Very few studies have followed them out 10 years, or 20, or 30 … though we’ve heard of the “honeymoon period” where the trans kid is overjoyed to have gotten free of those healthy breasts.
Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon takes on the notion that you can either have a trans kid or a dead kid, a false ultimatum meant to pressure people into accepting gender-affirming surgery on minors.

Parents from past generations were never faced with that false choice. Their kids were neither trans nor suicidal. History refutes the lie that kids are naturally and immutably trans and need affirmation to survive.

The teen suicide rate in the early 1900s was only 1.5 per 100,000. In 2017 it was 17.64 per 100,000. That's a 1,000% increase.
The point stands that kids were neither trans nor suicidal. Not like they are today. Not even close. We're cultivating confusion, depression, and death.

If you are ever asked it, or something similar, by someone then immediately reconsider that relationship.

That’s totally incorrect. Trans folks have always existed, long before and during Western civilization. The difference in our lifetime is that folks have to hide slightly less than they have during the past 200 years. People like you contribute to why they need to hide.

As a trans person you do a great disservice to both your elders and trans youth by making a career parroting right wing talking points that you know to be untrue and harmful.

Maybe look at the study from Sweden. Gender-affirming care doesn’t necessarily “fix” suicidal ideation that was already there. Again, it’s emotional extortion.
