Democrats are all stuck doing 180s right now, lauding President Joe Biden’s bold leadership in shooting down the Chinese spy balloon after they’d all convinced us earlier in the day that it was a “dumb weather balloon” and we should be more concerned about COVID or January 6 or Donald Trump’s classified documents.
We’ve seen the official statement from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, but on a more personal note, the Daily Mail reports that first lady Dr. Jill Biden had praise for her husband and the military for their actions Saturday.

The Daily Mail reports:
“I felt such a sense of pride about the effort and that our military, you know, shot down the balloon, how coordinated it was, how thoughtful it was, that it was decided to wait until it was over water so that civilians weren’t affected,” she added.
…
The first lady also spoke of her hopes that incidents like these help Americans keep service members in their thoughts.
And she noted she and President Joe Biden pray for the armed services every night at dinner.
“I hope that most Americans – I hope when they watch that they really think just, you know, about our military. I mean, Joe and I think about them every day, we pray for them in our prayers at dinner,” she said.
Sure they do.
The @FLOTUS expresses “a sense of pride” about how “our military shot down the balloon,” noting the coordination and specifically “how thoughtful it was, that it was decided to wait until it was over water so that civilians weren't affected.”

“Thoughtful” would have been when it was over the Aleutian Islands.

Would the Biden admin have shot down the Chinese spy balloon if the public hadn’t found out about it? They only admitted its existence after the Billings Gazette published a photo of it

Very thoughtful of them to think of China as they waited for it to complete its mission before shooting it down.

There is no amount of spin they will be able to put out that will save them from looking feckless and incompetent

She’s almost as much of an embarrassment as her husband. Her and the rest of the Biden crime family have gotten rich from the CCP. They’re compromised.

Wonder how she's gonna feel when she finds out her husband ordered a drone strike in Afghanistan that killed 7 innocent children looking for water…

This White House will literally take a victory lap on anything. Even a failure like this…

Is she President now since Klain is gone?

We’re certainly happy to have Dr. Biden weigh in.
