Gov. Ron DeSantis has said that Florida is “where woke goes to die,” and he’s not being shy about it, even in the educational space, where there was a needless freakout over the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law. Just don’t talk about sex ed to kindergarteners, OK?

WJCT producer and host Melissa Ross had on the completely unbiased Judd Legum to discuss the new law that will put teachers in jail for not vetting books from their classroom libraries. The policy is allegedly based on the premise that teachers and librarians are using books to groom children.

Just to be clear, are the quote marks around unvetted meant to suggest that it's acceptable to throw any book into a kids library without so much as reviewing it?

Teachers only need to worry if they deliberately or negligently made inappropriate books available to kids.

Actually prosecute these people. I’m tired of all these tweets without any charges. Panel the grand juries and get indictments on a mass scale. I want every single teacher doing this in jail. Remove any DAs who won’t prosecute from their jobs. Get on it Florida.
