Wow, they’re really dragging this out. So Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman sat down for an interview with NBC News, and the reporter mentioned how the interview was held via closed captioning because Fetterman seemed to be having trouble understanding their conversation. Without coming out and saying he’s disabled, disability experts and journalists have argued that Fetterman should be accommodated as one who’s disabled. You wouldn’t hold it against him for wearing glasses, would you?
The Independent has an “exclusive” Monday about Fetterman’s wife and de facto candidate Gisele calling for NBC to apologize for the “shocking” interview. It might be exclusive, but it’s not new — last week Fetterman’s wife said that the NBC News reporter should face “consequences.”

Is she going to debate Dr. Oz, too?
He agreed to the interview didn’t he? Makes no sense to apologize.

But he expected them to carry water for him! He was misled!

I have it on good authority that those kinds of statements are a threat to press freedoms and could lead to violence against journalists.
Those are the rules now.
— JC Klein (@panicchicken01) October 17, 2022
This sounds an awful lot like a fascist attack on the freedom of the press!
— ArchLobster 🇪🇨 🇺🇸 (@ArchLobster) October 17, 2022
This is an attack on the free press.
Disgraceful behavior.
— The Based Patriot (@BasedPatriot74) October 17, 2022
If only Brian Stelter were still around to cover these sorts of attacks on journalists.
Any reason why he didn't make the call?
— JD (@m5drummer) October 17, 2022
Intimidating a journalist for doing their job sounds pretty fascist.
Clearly the guy is unfit to be a senator if his wife has to call out NBC for doing their job.— freshpoutine (@freshpoutinee) October 17, 2022
She lives in some kind of fantasy world of her own design.
— Professor Flutesnoot (@HerrDeano) October 17, 2022
That’s some kicking balls in the authority right there.
— Searching for sanity (@CfCaridi) October 17, 2022
Gisele doesn't want anyone to know the truth about her mentally impaired husband. That's a shame. Sorry about that whole First Amendment thing, Gisele.
— President Doctor (@LDreeniatnuom) October 17, 2022
Why is Gisele Fetterman attacking the press? Is she an enemy of Democracy?
— Devin M. Bilski (@DevinMBilski) October 17, 2022
Because they are ruining her chances of getting into the Senate.
— Sharkweek (@sharkweek0178) October 17, 2022
Well at least we know who his handler is.
— Cape Chic 🌄🍀💫 (@cape_chic) October 17, 2022
Please apologize for interviewing someone who is supposed to talk for a living and is having trouble talking
— robbot4000 (@robbot4000) October 17, 2022
LOL @giselefetterman hates transparency and for some reason thinks her husband @JohnFetterman simply is owed this Senate seat and that serious questions can’t be asked. Nice try. Senators are elected to serve, not rule as tyrants. Get over yourself.

The de facto Senate candidate is attacking the free press.
— JB (@Reformed1647) October 17, 2022
It’s another version of Jill Biden. We don’t need another disaster in charge of peoples lives.
— K H (@thereddeststate) October 17, 2022
@NBCNews should release the unedited video to quiet down this “controversy.” objectively, Fetterman is not currently fit to serve.
— Larry G (@DufferToScratch) October 17, 2022
The debate which is certain to happen should clear things up.
