Tweep wants to know why Gov. Ron DeSantis and Russian agent Christina Pushaw are threatening violence

As Twitchy reported earlier, Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted that “looting and lawlessness will not be tolerated” as Hurricane Ian batters Florida, and warned people thinking of looting homes that “you never know what may be lurking” behind someone’s door. MSNBC’s Joy Reid dug up a quote from 1967 from segregationist Miami sheriff Walter E. Headley to demonize DeSantis: “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” How is that segregationist, though, unless you consider all looters to be black?

Jayson Frascatore asked why DeSantis was threatening violence in the midst of a hurricane aftermath.

We don’t think he was threatening violence … we think he was giving would-be looters some good advice.

How is it a racist dog whistle? That’s the mainstream media after Hurricane Katrina, not DeSantis. Blame the Dems running the media.

It’s pretty clearly a warning and not a threat. Using a natural disaster as a pretense for looting people’s homes is a bad idea. Looting’s bad, m’kay?
