It’s all about Donald Trump, or more precisely, stopping Donald Trump from ever running for office again, hopefully by indicting him and finding him guilty of something. The thing is, yes, Trump used “Make America Great Again” as his campaign slogan, but the term MAGA has taken on a life of its own outside of Trump. President Joe Biden pretended to make a case between mainstream RINOs he can work with and “extreme MAGA” who incite violence and want to take away our rights and freedoms; they want to ban contraception and same-sex marriage and impose restrictions on abortion, or at least that’s how he opened his speech Thursday night.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy gave a prebuttal, but this MAGA Republican ought to have been given a prime-time slot to rebut Biden’s speech. Most MAGA Republicans want to make America great again. What does that mean? Give Alma Ohene-Opare five minutes to explain:
This is one of the most articulate defenses of MAGA I’ve ever heard.

This is why this “evil MAGA Republican” shtick ticks me off. Not just because this man is awesome, but because of the cheap slander from the left who insist MAGA people hate him because of his skin color. MAGA folks I know love people like this because they share the same values. https://t.co/aVAvnnVZPV

If only he’d been born here.
I love this man, I want to embrace him with my whole heart!

I’m a legal immigrant too who came here as a child with my parents. We fled a dictatorship. We know what it’s like. My dad keeps saying this is how it starts. He remembers how it started. It was before I was born. But I remember how it goes. We can not let it happen here.

Powerful explanation and exhortation by a brand new citizen of the US. His sincere and moving talk was by far better then any politicians self serving rhetoric! Proud and happy to welcome you home 🇺🇸

An amazing, thoughtful statement. Everyone should take the time to listen. Well worth it for all especially those of us born here.

This is the GREATEST speech I've heard lately. I hope @potus listens. This man articulated how I'm feeling and actually made me cry. (Tough thing to do!) I bet there are millions more who after watching this will feel like I do.

Thank you. Your message was thoughtful, your message was humble, your message was patriotic, and your message was respectful (I could not have done that). You made me want to be more respectful.

A truly wonderful gentleman.

We’re sorry that Biden doesn’t understand that “MAGA” transcends Donald Trump and thinks that “MAGA” automatically means extremist or “MAGA” implies support for the Capitol riots. We need some Republicans in power to be giving speeches just like this one.
