Here’s some news from the vice president’s press pool. Apparently, Vice President Kamala Harris told CNN earlier this week that President Joe Biden was running for reelection, and she would be his running mate, “full stop.” The White House says Harris has softened a bit on that promise, saying that Biden intends to run, and if he does, she will be his running mate. Or, she might be Pete Buttigieg’s running mate if some nervous Democrats have their way.

The White House said Kamala Harris wanted to clarify comments she made on CNN a few days ago. When asked if Biden was definitely running in 2024, Harris replied:
“The president intends to run and if he does, I will be his ticket mate. We will run together.”

Now it seems like the VP’s communication team has to clean up after Harris. Democrats and their media echoes are making it clear that Biden should not be the choice for ‘24 because of his age and poor record with terrible poll numbers. Harris’ numbers worse. Dems have a problem.
