Before we get started on the mayor, note how MSNBC’s Chuck Todd says he’s not “planting any seeds” to inform St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones’ answer — right before he goes and asks if she doesn’t wish that more of her police officers would step forward and say, “You know, I believe in the Second Amendment; however ….” We’re hearing again about how the police are finding themselves “outgunned” by criminals, and yet the Democrat call for the past few years is that the police have been “militarized” and need to be defunded and turned into social service agents.
As for Jones, she notes that the Second Amendment has been misinterpreted “in recent years” to make it seem as though individuals have the right to own a gun, when it’s the militias that the amendment was talking about. That’s been settled for more than a few years, and besides, what do you think would happen if a couple of thousand Missourians decided to form a militia? There’s be so many FBI agents embedded in there trying to incite something.

Well regulated certainly did not mean regulated by the government, it meant “stable”. Militia refers to individuals plus it is part of the Bill of Rights which applies to individuals.

Every individual between the ages of 18-45 is considered a member of the state militia automatically. The federal govt has no authority over state militia and states can't dictate the type of weapons they use.
Well regulated in the late 1700s meant well stocked and supplied.
