Maybe it’s because it’s the weekend, but it took this editor a couple of hours to happen upon the idea that this is a racial thing, and that’s why it’s being so blown out of proportion. The thread doesn’t say anything about race, so maybe that’s not it and the officer’s comment was just deemed “unprofessional.” In either case, a member of the Los Angeles Police Department is under investigation, and has been removed from the field, for wishing his fellow officers “happy hunting.”
As members of the LAPD’s SWAT team prepared to confront an armed suspect who had holed up in a downtown apartment building earlier this month, one of the highly trained officers offered a comment to the others.
