Judge orders man who defaced LGBTQ mural to write a 25-page essay on the Pulse Nightclub shooting

This isn’t one of those local news stories like Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic; the New York Times is making sure this story goes nationwide. A man who was found guilty of defacing an LGBTQ mural in South Florida has been ordered to write a 25-page essay about the 2016 mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub that killed 49 people.

If this guy has to come up with 25 pages worth of material, he’s eventually going to get to the part where the mass shooter, Omar Mateen, was an Islamic extremist who didn’t even know that it was a gay nightclub.

It was just last year that President Biden named the Pulse Nightclub a national memorial. “We must drive out hate and inequities that contribute to the epidemic of violence and murder against transgender women — especially transgender women of color,” Biden said.

As Twitchy reported, “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Wilson Cruz used the passage of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill to fundraise for the Pulse Foundation and suggested that Florida has learned nothing about how to prevent another Pulse shooting. If we don’t teach kindergarteners about gender identity, they’re certain to grow up to become mass shooters, right?

We guess the judge just wants to drum up some Islamophobia.
