The account Libs of Tik Tok, which reposts videos posted to the public on TikTok, has been suspended a couple of times recently for hateful behavior … which we guess consists of amplifying the reach of someone who put out a public video in hopes of being seen. Another essential follow is Bad Legal Takes, and we have a bonus: a bad legal take followed up with another bad legal take. Apparently retweeting someone verbatim is defamation.
President Biden should use his anti-trust powers to stop Elon Musk from acquiring Twitter.

My brother
You literally said that pic.twitter.com/WXKxyfcud7

His original tweet is still up, so apparently, he believes President Joe Biden should use “his” anti-trust powers to keep Elon Musk from buying Twitter. That is a bad legal take, and the idea that he could sue for “defamation” is another bad legal take.
This is a double bad legal take

Ah, the "You're defaming me by accurately quoting me" defense. Oldie but a goodie….

My brother. I think he's joking

We’re pretty sure he’s not.
Lots of right wing bots are very mad at me. I posted a few satirical tweets last week where I was intentionally trying to get on @BadLegalTakes, which worked. Then I replied with an even worse legal take.
All of these bots think they’re trolling me when I’m the one trolling. pic.twitter.com/AsetzgKnBt

He was trying to get on Bad Legal Takes. These takes make us think he wasn’t trolling; his whole timeline makes us think he wasn’t trolling.
If you have enough money to buy Twitter for fun, you can probably afford to pay more taxes.
— Travis Allen 🌻 (@TravisAllen02) April 14, 2022
Will you leave Twitter if Elon Musk buys it?
— Travis Allen 🌻 (@TravisAllen02) April 14, 2022
And he retweeted this:
Elon Musk is why to abolish billionaires.
Asking them to chip in their fair share isn’t enough. Regulating them isn’t enough.
When people are allowed to acquire this much concentrated influence, they will inevitably manspread economic power into every other form of power.
— Anand Giridharadas @ The.Ink (@AnandWrites) April 14, 2022
“Regulating them isn’t enough” … they have to be “abolished.”
