It’s a funny coincidence, because we weren’t thinking at all about comedian, writer, and podcast host Dana Gould today until he showed up in our Twitter feed. Even though no one talks about Rush Limbaugh anymore, Gould was thinking about him and how little lasting influence he had. Imagine how many people started podcasts because they heard Gould’s?
Thinking about Rush Limbaugh and how, now that he’s dead, you never, ever hear about him. No one mentions anything he did.
Because what he did had no value. It contributed nothing worthwhile to the culture. Nothing of lasting value.

He just made anger. Every day. Rising, blooming & fading like a fart. Then he died & was instantly replaced by a fleet of little replicas, farting fake fury five days a week. Creating nothing of interest or artistic value to anyone.
Seriously, what an awful way to make a living.

Anyone who seriously claims that “he just made anger” never listened to a single full broadcast of Limbaugh’s show.
And yet, here you are taking about him…

What a sad, angry, and jealous little man you are.

Here's Dana Gould, still talking about Rush Limbaugh, to say that no one still talks about Rush Limbaugh.
Meanwhile, imagine thinking people will be talking about Dana Gould after he dies. https://t.co/I08FHHRLVL

Everyone has heard of Rush Limbaugh.
This is the first time I've heard of you. And you're still living https://t.co/mQNy3nypme— Rising serpent 🇺🇸 (@rising_serpent) March 24, 2022
This is gross.
No matter what state I am in, a mention of Rush gets a huge applause. He inspired a generation of conservatives. Myself included.
More importantly, Rush gave untold sums to charity, named one of the most philanthropic celebrities.
Sad you devote time to this… https://t.co/IHjMUNX9sh

Comedian I’ve never heard of, writer I’ve never heard of, on a podcast I’ve never heard of, talking about a man everyone knows worldwide, loved and adored by millions and millions of people. https://t.co/elXuzYi9eY pic.twitter.com/0MPFr3pHLv

Rush Limbaugh in death just gave you the most engagement on Twitter you probably ever had.
But keep being a sassy snappy grown man on the internet if you want. https://t.co/mgPVj41Ez8

And yet, a year after his death, he still is on your mind https://t.co/wxacPlOv8C

I don't know, Dana, you apparently need to name-drop Rush to get some attention 🤷♀️ https://t.co/Czk9jTWzwy

Rush Limbaugh’s legacy is every longform conservative commentator.
I suspect that Dana Gould doesn’t follow the work of many such people.
May Rush’s memory be a blessing. https://t.co/xJkpW8VTdS

Our thanks to Gould for reminding us of Limbaugh’s legacy during this insane week.
