Attention LeBron James: Officer who fatally shot 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant cleared of wrongdoing

Do you remember the fatal police shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant? Do you remember the face of the police officer who shot her? You might, because LeBron James posted his photo to Twitter with the text, “YOU’RE NEXT,” an hourglass emoji, and the hashtag #Accountability. James deleted the tweet because he said he was being used to create more hate: “They always use our words to create more racism,” he added.

You probably also remember that Bryant was just about to stab another teenager. Activist Bree Newsome tweeted that “teenagers have been having fights involving knives for eons” and “we do not need police to address these situations by showing up to the scene and using a weapon against one of the teenagers.”

Well, the police officer involved in the shooting has been cleared of wrongdoing. He also probably saved the other girl’s life, but whatever.
