Actor links passage of Florida's 'violent' 'Don't Say Gay' bill to the Pulse nightclub mass shooting

This is getting out of hand, but it does shed some insight into the mindset of those opposed to the (now passed) bill in Florida that would keep teacher-led discussions of sex and sexuality out of kindergarten through third-grade classrooms; you know, the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Much as grifter Ibram X. Kendi was positing when he wrote “Antiracist Baby,” these people think that homophobia and the like begins with children as young as 5, and if they aren’t introduced to sexual orientation and gender identity by kindergarten, they’ll grow up to be mass shooters.

Seriously.

“Star Trek: Discovery” actor Wilson Cruz is using the passage of the bill to fundraise for the Pulse Foundation and suggests that Florida has learned nothing about how to prevent another Pulse shooting since Omar Mateen left 49 people dead and 53 people wounded.

The thing is, there’s no evidence at all that Mateen targeted Pulse because it was a gay nightclub — according to his own chatter, his mass shooting was retaliation for President Obama’s drone strikes and was done in the name of ISIS.

Having public schools teach about homosexuality in kindergarten is going to prevent another Pulse?

Seven pages, but we get the point. If he’d read the bill, maybe he could expand upon how it’s “violent.”
