Florida Gov. Ron DeSanits, Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, and others from the medical community held a press conference Monday morning to discuss the failure of COVID lockdowns and mandates. Ladapo raised some feathers by suggesting that your healthy 5-year-old might not need to be vaccinated against the coronavirus (while they continue to work on a vaccine for infants to 4-year-olds). White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about that at her press briefing and said not only that the White House follows The Science™ but that Ladapo was a politician peddling conspiracy theories.

Psaki asked about @FLSurgeonGen saying COVID vaccines should not be given to healthy children. Asked if she agrees, she says "absolutely not," says WH follows science. She then called him a politician spreading a conspiracy theory. He's actually doctor who went to Harvard.

"Dr. Ladapo graduated from Wake Forest University and received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his PhD in Health Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He completed his clinical training in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center." https://t.co/8sQCwVW0zM

Ladapo would be a target regardless of what he said because he was nominated by DeSantis.
Gubernatorial hopeful Charlie Crist called Ladapo a “dangerous quack”:

And Montel Williams called Ladapo a “circus clown” before the press conference even started:

You mean the circus clown posing as Florida’s Surgeon General because @RonDeSantisFL can’t get anyone competent to work for him?
Congrats on being on the wrong side of history though! I’ll pray for you.

Monty, both your show and your position here will be mocked by future generations. There are comedy scripts being written right now about the insane mask policies and social distancing rules the government pushed on citizens. ZERO EFFECT.

When you can’t attack the message (and the studies he cites), attack the messenger, right? When did you move from ‘Follow the science’ to ‘Don’t pay attention to the studies presented by the highly educated medical professional because he disagrees with me politically’?

I hate that you became a shill for big government, Montel. I know it doesn’t matter to you, but you’re huge disappointment to many people.

This is like a tabloid calling a medical journal "fake news".

This is embarrassing, Montel.
It's quite evident you don't know anything about Ladapo or about the subjects being discussed.
These reactionary attacks by established liberal personalities won't cut it.
Florida has had enough of partisan hacks.

Funny how all of the blue states dropped their mandates just in time for the State of the Union address. Didn’t Biden say he was going to shut down the virus if we elected him? Talk about a clown.
