Citizen Chris sure is getting a lot of engagement on this tweet, picturing a flyer “that was seen on Reddit and could have possibly been put on a windshield at a grocery store.” The flyer shows two of the four candidates for the Holmen School Board under the heading, “Keep Holmen Schools White and Christian,” with the subhead, “Don’t push Negro curriculum on our White children.”
School board elections aren't what they used to be.https://t.co/EHVFhLqYRD pic.twitter.com/HrwDH9Stnb

The candidates called it fake, and even their opponents called for an investigation into where it came from.
Here's Neumann's campaign platform. It also calls for opposition to "divisive curriculum," in keeping with the national right-wing campaign to remove people of color from social studies and history materials.

“The national right-wing campaign to remove people of color from social studies and history materials.”
And, for what it's worth, Updike's language around "divisive curriculum" is connected to the national movement of white parents seeking to bleach the history of civil rights content and authors of color. Thus, making the mailer within the area of acceptable satire. pic.twitter.com/2VzVbEwuWO

“Within the area of acceptable satire.”
No way this is real.
— FlapjackPalmdale (@DirkTheDaring76) February 14, 2022
Just an FYI, this is fake.
— Dr. Marcus Brody (@MarcusBrodyDr) February 14, 2022
Well the candidates are saying they didn’t make them. The opposing are saying the same and all of them are calling for an investigation with DA. So it’s real but not campaign approved by any of the people running.

People really need to read the article before commenting.
— trans people are people (@en_transed) February 14, 2022
This isn't real

Lol I’ll let you have one guess who made this

Obvious false flag is obvious. Way to elevate misinfo

Flushing your credibility down the toilet for likes ain’t a bright move bro.

This is fake and you either know it’s fake and are still pushing the lie or are too unintelligent to be trusted as a source of news.
— Coach_JIB (@CoachJeff_) February 14, 2022
This is very clearly a false flag, Chris.

Literally everyone in this story (including the other candidates) agrees that that this is a psyop intended to discredit a candidate, but this guy happily pretends it is authentic https://t.co/xfFGLHCjQO
— PoliMath (@politicalmath) February 14, 2022
If you fall for such an obvious op, you are an NPC
— PoliMath (@politicalmath) February 14, 2022
Bluecheck, must be legit 👍
— 3 Otters in a Trenchcoat (@88Otters) February 14, 2022
The article you link to clearly shows this “flyer” was entirely fake- likely oppo dump paid for by their opponents or supporters of their opponents.
Why post it?
— pipermcq (@pipermcq) February 14, 2022
So this was a “flyer on Reddit” meaning it was not a flyer. Did anyone bother to read the article? Even if someone held these views, no one is going to say it on a campaign ad.

Wasn’t Twitter going to take a principled stand against that on their platform?
So I presume you're for deplatforming people that push misinformation?
— Eagle Fang (@Flounder2022) February 14, 2022
Imagine believing this is real.
— Weimdog (@weimdog) February 14, 2022
Thanks for spreading more disinformation on Twitter. You've done the DNC proud.
— Ricky Spanish (@_Ricky_Spanishh) February 14, 2022
Do you always spread hoaxes, @citizenstewart?
— Tom (@MIwolverine10) February 14, 2022
Why do you still have this posted? It’s obvious to everyone it’s fake or an opposing campaign put it out. You even admit to it. At least reply to your own tweet so people know. Or are you just looking for likes?
— Sage Vizsla (@kcismek37) February 14, 2022
I mean, maybe try to make it even slightly believable next time. It reads like what someone imagines racists from 50 years ago talked like.
— Rightward Mike (@RightwardMike) February 14, 2022
No one is buying your shit anymore. When the demand for racism vastly outweigh the supply people have to make stuff up. We’ve seen this many many times before. Get bent loser.
— Cat Olvedo (@CatOlvedo) February 14, 2022
So are you just the world's most pathetic gullible mark, or are you a knowing confederate in this fake garbage?

Funny that it took off on Reddit — everything posted there is legit.
