Keith Olbermann really wants some of the attention that Jeff Zucker’s been getting today since he announced his immediate resignation from CNN. We’re going to reword his tweets a bit and say that after ESPN fired him, Zucker interviewed him about a primetime spot on CNN and didn’t hire him. The was Olbermann tells it is a bit more self-serving, though.
I should explain that in 2015, the day ESPN announced my show there was ending, Zucker asked for a meeting – secret, of course, at the Plaza Athenee NY – to offer me an hour in prime time on CNN and brainstorm how to not make it look like Countdown. 4 days later he reneged.
