Earlier this week, Rebel News videographer Mocha Bezirgan was posting drive-by footage of Canadian citizens standing by the road to show their support for the truck convoy as it passed through:
Small town of Dryden, Ontario is exceeding it’s limits!
The route of the nationwide convoy had people all along the way since BC.
The length of convoy is unbelievably long.

Just more members of that “small, fringe minority” who hold “unacceptable values.”
What we hadn’t heard was that the government of Nova Scotia had issued a directive under the Emergency Management Act applying to “people who stop or gather alongside Highway 104, the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border, or at the Cobequid Pass toll area in support of the 2022 Freedom Convoy.”
Nova Scotia added that “outdoor gatherings of more than 20 people are prohibited under a Health Protection Act order.”
The Nova Scotia government just banned people from “stopping or gathering” alongside a highway at the NS/NB border “in support of the 2022 Freedom Convoy” or related events (not just blockades).
In May 2021, NS govt obtained an injunction to stop planned anti-lockdown protests. https://t.co/CUGEqGxyMB

True North added that another section of the ban goes so far as to prohibit “financing” of such activities.
Staggering. What is happening to my country? Nova Scotia bans gatherings along highway in support of trucker freedom convoy https://t.co/zqt90ZawkT pic.twitter.com/22pUxus1M2

This is the actual legislation. Resist this complete and utterly. Madness. Note the protest itself has become an emergency justifying the suspension of our rights. pic.twitter.com/hEr66ri3G3

"All persons are prohibited from"… read this and resist. Now. Your resistance itself has become an illegal emergency @joerogan @elonmusk note this madness. pic.twitter.com/mFbj6ysmMs

Once a government feels entitled to remove your rights and freedoms – there will be no end to it – this is the conspiracy (often ridiculed) now coming true

Translation: Supporting the Trucker Freedom convoy will put our tyrannical empire at risk and is therefore disallowed.

Utter desperation from a government who knows they're losing their grip on the narrative.
— Benwah (@BenwahAu) January 29, 2022
Seems like an overreaction for a "fringe minority"
— GhostofStoney (@GhostofStoney) January 29, 2022
Well I think it's time that people just have those gatherings along the highway anyway.
It's now or never.

That ban should be ignored in fact ought to spark more people lining the roads. It’s time

Imagine if they’d put out these directives during the BLM marches in 2020.

How nice of them to prove the point of the convoy.

Telling me I can't do something like this is the easiest way to talk me into doing it.

I do not get a strong sense that the Nova Scotia Government understands how protests work.
— threshold (@neurobound) January 29, 2022
Wish them luck policing that.

It’s not an anti lockdown protest, it’s a human rights violation protest

Gather anyways. They are not rulers.
— Jiminthe403 (@jimmythejet39) January 29, 2022
It’s called the Freedom Convoy for precisely this reason.
— Dr. Anti-Grifter (@colossusPhD) January 29, 2022
Every time they do something stupid like this, keep it in mind, let others know. We need to have a conversation about our rights in this country. Either we have them, or we don't. And if we don't, we need to get them.
