This is something we’ve heard batted around before on social media: Republicans sweep the House in 2022 and make Donald Trump Speaker of the House. As unlikely as that is, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries is putting out a warning to voters: don’t let the radical right win and make it happen.
The Constitution does not require the Speaker of the House to serve in Congress.
That’s why the radical right will try to install Donald Trump.
