CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky tells CNN it's 'pedal to the metal time' to study gun violence as a public health threat

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has blown all of her credibility with her terrible messaging about the coronavirus. Now she’s showing she can concentrate on two things at once by adding gun violence to the CDC’s plate, calling it a public health threat. “Something has to be done about this,” she told CNN. “Now is the time — it’s pedal to the metal time.”

Maybe we’re wrong, but we thought CDC stood for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but as we’ve seen, the CDC has gotten into the property rental business as well, telling landlords what they can and can’t do with their own property. And now it’s setting its sights on guns.

“My job is to understand and evaluate the problem, to understand the scope of the problem, to understand why this happens and what are the things that can make it better — to research that, to scale that up, to evaluate it and to make sure that we can integrate it into communities,” Walensky told CNN, making it clear she has no idea what her job really is.
