The Atlantic: Andrew Cuomo had no choice but to quit because Democrats hold their leaders to higher standards

There are still Democrats furious with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for saying that former Sen. Al Franken should have resigned over multiple sexual misconduct allegations — they thought he should have hung in there. But it looks like Democrats hold their leaders to higher standards; at least, that’s what The Atlantic’s Russell Berman has reported. Gov. Andrew Cuomo had no choice but to resign.

Berman cites two Republicans — Donald Trump and Rep. Matt Gaetz — as proof that Republicans are much more lenient with their leaders. It’s sad that Cuomo and so many of his Democratic colleagues have been crucified.

Democrats punished her for blaming Benghazi on a YouTube video by nominating her for president.

Yep.
