Matthew Dowd, who considers himself a proud independent but tweets exclusively progressive content, was on MSNBC with Nicolle Wallace and tried to do away with the idea that you can talk to Sen. Ted Cruz and then talk to someone sane on the other side of the aisle and treat them as if they’re the same. “You don’t talk to crazy people,” he said, ironically putting Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the “sane” side of the balance across from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
Of course, Wallace agrees completely.

He’s blocked us.
Dowd blocked me in 2016.

He has retweeted dozens of people describing him as a sage and wordsmith for calling people insane and nuts. Really, that’s impressive eloquence?
But worse is so many people agreeing with him. He’s saying communication is done. Think about that.

But he's the one that's always trying to do better in how he treats others. ?

What a race to the bottom for him. Good luck buddy..

@MSNBC insane people find a home.

I love that he presents Nancy Pelosi as “sane” and Ted Cruz as “insane”. If we saw a debate between Nancy and Ted she would end up lying on the floor, sobbing next to her dentures. Dowd is a moron! ?
— Mario Mazzanouvle (@MarioMazzanouvl) April 28, 2021
Dowd isn't a serious person. He's simply a clown ?
— SWFLRightWinger (@RightSwfl) April 28, 2021
He’s such a thin skinned dweeb.

Yeah, let's be sure to label and marginalize 74 million (at least) people in a free Republic. You know what's great Matt? You can utter these disgraceful words b/c freedom loving patriots gave their life for your hateful rhetoric. Keep speaking as we only gain in numbers.

If you don't talk to crazy people, how are social workers going to do the job of cops? The irony is these people don't see how insane they are….They are also 100% OK with fascism as long as it's their side in power
— AuFish (@AuFishy) April 28, 2021
We like the fact that he couldn’t think of a “sane” equivalent on the Democratic side to balance out Ted Cruz.
