We’re not necessarily anti-mask, but we can’t see the virtue in changing your social media avatar to a selfie of you wearing a mask — and we really don’t get why the U.S. Navy went to the trouble of slapping a mask on the eagle in its Twitter avatar.
The eagle in the @USNavy’s logo is wearing a mask.

Ever since that Tucker Carlson segment, we can’t say we’re anything but embarrassed by the social media accounts of the U.S. military.

Come on! Mask on the logo! Don't stop there, let's paint them on the bow of our ships too, don't use white, use a different shade of haze gray

I’m all for being safe and everything, but this is stupid. Surprised the eagle on the presidential seal isn’t wearing a mask.

When I was in the marines, our emblem was special. It stands for something. You earn it before you can wear it. You don’t fuck with it. Who is in charge of our military?

Some PAO at DoD must have a sense of humor. No way otherwise.
— Vladimir Tepes (@VladimirTepes17) April 10, 2021
Some are saying it’s just a lighthearted joke, but we do wish the military would take social media more seriously and stop tweeting about their new chief diversity officers.
