Now that Democrats have a 50-50 Senate and Vice President Kamala Harris as their tie-breaker, they’re all in on nuking the filibuster, and the talking point is that it’s a relic of the Jim Crow era — during his inaugural press conference, President Biden added that Republican efforts to pass voting reform “make Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.” Fox News’ John Roberts this week reported that Democrats employed the filibuster 327 times last year.
In this flashback video from 2005, then-Sen. Barack Obama made an impassioned speech defending the filibuster.

To repeat: The filibuster is not a "relic of Jim Crow." It is not in Constitution. It has existed since 1806. It was last modified in the '70s. It takes 67 votes to change it pursuant to the rules. The left wants to jam through changes via 51-50. Most media is left and supports. https://t.co/fnSMOwg53m

It's all fake political theater.
They vigorously defended the filibuster when it served their purposes but now dishonestly equate it to racism & white supremacy when it's an obstacle to their extreme and unpopular agenda.
They can all go fuck themselves https://t.co/S94fNcsC2t

This senator was so wise he became president and served two terms. We should listen to him here.
