As Twitchy reported earlier, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Mark Levin that “we can say pretty clearly that it was the Russians” behind the SolarWinds cyberattack on U.S. government agencies. In a pair of tweets on Saturday, President Trump observed that it’s always “Russia, Russia, Russia” with the lamestream media and that it could be that China was behind the attack. Speaking of China, that got Rep. Eric Swalwell to comment (again) on Trump and Russia:
33 days to go. You can still choose America over Russia for once in your presidency. https://t.co/1cGjVL79wE

Swalwell really doesn’t know when to shut up (or not fart).
A lot of people were talking about Trump and Russia Saturday, including CNN anchor Jim Sciutto, who said that Trump’s foreign policy was based on deference to Vladimir Putin and Russia.
The most consistent feature of Trump’s foreign policy is deference to Putin and Russia.
— Jim Sciutto (@jimsciutto) December 20, 2020
Rhetorically, sure. But look at the actual policy, Jim. Go deeper.

We’re old enough to remember the early days of the Trump administration when the president approved the sale of lethal aid to Ukraine, as is Glenn Greenwald. We do wish Richard Grenell would weigh in on this, as Germany had a big stake in the Nord Stream pipeline.
Except for how Trump relentlessly tried to bully Germany out of buying Russian natural gas (a huge threat to Russia’s interests); sent lethal arms to Ukraine (something Obama refused to do); bombed Putin’s ally in Syria (which Obama wouldn’t do), etc.
Otherwise, great point #CNN https://t.co/aq8uhEqHOg

If you ignore virtually every policy action taken by the Trump Administration vis-a-vis Putin and Russia, sure Jim https://t.co/g98WnvPhb3

The US reportedly also killed dozens, maybe hundreds, of Russian contractors in Syria. https://t.co/mUDnhUgEym

Trump literally killed Russian troops in Syria and arms Ukrainians. Blatant disinformation https://t.co/p1VXafhCub

massive troop relocation to Poland and Ukraine also

Its like CNN has never heard of Nord Stream 2

It's so sad to see the number of deeply uninformed idiots agreeing with this objectively inaccurate statement from @jimsciutto https://t.co/dVsi2CHVX7

Trump pulled out of the INF Treaty and fueled proxy wars *against* Russia, you clown. https://t.co/a6KKXcDyHV
— Jesse Crall? (@jessecrall) December 20, 2020
actually no it's NOT. You really haven't been paying attention AT ALL if you think his policies have been deferential to Russia. https://t.co/dVsi2CHVX7
— Sandra N. (@SandraHelena39) December 20, 2020
In every material sense this is false. But it’s more or less true rhetorically – which is the lens through which Jim understands all politics. Words are the ONLY things that matter to the liberal internationalists. https://t.co/TeRyP1uPPR

Not. Even. Remotely. True.
Trump sanctioned the hell out of Russia. https://t.co/vF5CvSPggV

I appreciate a voice of your caliber rebuking this utter bullshit. Trump is imperfect, but to continue to accuse him of being a puppet for Putin is despicable.

Sciutto doesn’t deal in facts. Only bad fiction. Don’t waste your time Glenn.

Weird. This totally non partisan journalist, worked for obama.

I am sure you will call out Biden and China as well. Thinking not. https://t.co/PtUIqODS58

Rest assured that that toxic “America first” policy of Trump’s will die with the Biden administration.
