Rep. Dan Crenshaw isn’t suggesting that President Trump won re-election in any of these tweets, so we’re not sure if Twitter has slapped a “This claim is disputed” disclaimer on any of them — we’ll have to see when we paste them into this post.
Nothing Crenshaw is saying in these tweets is that controversial unless you didn’t think the 2020 presidential election wasn’t embarrassing in the way it was handled. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a day called Election Day, and everyone voted that day with some form of government ID so that we knew the election results that night?
(1/4)The 2020 election chaos is embarrassing & must be fixed. Election integrity must be a priority at every level of gov’t moving forward.
The integrity of elections must be self-evident, an airtight process that withstands scrutiny, where no one can plausibly question results.

(2/4) The 2005 bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform should be a guide.
– Voter ID (registration and vote)
– Universal registration system, led by states, to prevent double registration and non-citizen voting.
– Limited mail-in voting— Dan Crenshaw (@DanCrenshawTX) November 28, 2020

4 out of 5 Americans favor Voter ID. It is common sense. Efforts should be made toward getting people an ID if they don’t have one, not undermining our election system by not requiring it.https://t.co/QGXFXaUJsh— Dan Crenshaw (@DanCrenshawTX) November 28, 2020
Efforts have been made: Republicans have suggested making the photo ID free and having it available at every driver’s license bureau in the country — but liberals have argued even that’s racist, and won in court.
In the 2020 presidential primary, 550k mail in ballots were thrown out. Improperly marked, mismatched signatures, etc. One can conclude that (1) valid votes were thrown out or (2) election officials detected fraud & discarded ballot.
Conclusion: limit this unreliable practice.

Wow, we thought for certain Twitter would flag that last tweet.

coming to the party late?

You’d have to be living under a rock to conclude I haven’t been talking about election integrity for months. I have.
