Here’s some breaking news: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer had on Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a guest Tuesday and actually pressed her on why the Democrats won’t compromise on a coronavirus stimulus package. It was strange to see Blitzer not rolling over, but it’s laugh-out-loud hilarious that Pelosi considers Blitzer and many of his colleagues at CNN of being apologists for the Republican position.
“I don’t know why you’re always an apologist – and many of your colleagues – an apologist for the Republican position,” Pelosi says to @wolfblitzer when pressed why not accept $1.8 trillion stimulus proposed by the WH. “I will not let the wrong be the enemy of the right.”

When even *CNN* and *Wolf Blitzer* are grilling Nancy Pelosi on why Democrats continue to reject any and all Republican stimulus offers, you know Dems might be playing politics. Watch as Pelosi snaps after failing to answer a basic question about why they won't compromise. pic.twitter.com/Nt2hagv2Us

Spoiler alert — it got even more intense. Pelosi was totally unhinged. pic.twitter.com/mm3lFyeTjT

Ask Nancy Pelosi basic obvious questions, she calls you a GOP apologist – even if you're Judy Woodruff or Wolf Blitzer. It's arrogant and ridiculous.

This is such a disgusting display by Pelosi who denigrates @wolfblitzer for pushing her on why exactly she won't do a deal w/ The White House on stimulus
Props to Wolf for speaking up for the millions of unemployed, the hungry, and those on the brink pic.twitter.com/FKAUDVXGkW

When he has to spend his days interviewing lawmakers this inexplicably hostile, inarticulate, and disconnected from reality, I am not the least bit surprised that Wolf Blitzer spends his nights moonlighting with the Impossible Mission Force. pic.twitter.com/gehpukrRyM

(1) She wants hurting Americans to get nothing pre-election.
(2) She lashes out at even moderately challenging questions whenever she gets them, which isn’t too often — a churlish byproduct of the lazy arrogance that becomes entrenched when media is typically on your side. https://t.co/inlzxlafUd

The sheer amount of condescension for having the nerve to ask legitimate questions during a time of crisis…

She is actually smiling while he is going through the list of American hurts.

I have heard Blitzer called many things, but "always an apologist for the Republican position"? Cleanup on aisle space queen.
— Dad (@NorvR) October 13, 2020
That’s not grilling that’s asking a simple question. And she still didn’t answer.

I wonder if @brianstelter will defend Wolf and his other colleagues from this baseless attack by Pelosi?
— BillHobson (@BillHobson1) October 13, 2020
I would be literally blown away and unable to speak if asked basic questions and follow-ups pushing for clear answers by Wolf Friggin Blitzer. Hilarious that when Pelosi is bloviating, he looks like he's about to nod off.

When you’ve lost Wolf…..

She will continue to look as if she is willing to deal & keep talking, but no way deal gets done before Election. She wants "angry voters".
— John A. Jensen (@FixTheNation) October 13, 2020
They’re counting on angry voters.
