Report claims that global warming is affecting Canada twice as fast as the rest of the world

The thing even climate change alarmists don’t seem to get about global warming is that it’s global: we’re talking about a change in temperature that is felt everywhere on the planet. Either that, or we’re just talking about the weather.

But in her write-up of the year in climate change for Canada’s Global News, Jane Gerster cites an April study by Environment and Climate Change Canada that claims “the impact of global warming in Canada is ‘effectively irreversible’ and happening twice as fast as it is in the rest of the world.” We thought Canada were the good guys; it’s President Trump who pulled the U.S. out of the Paris climate accords. Maybe America’s rising temperatures are migrating north.

A lot of people are responding to the tweet with this collage showing that just about every major country has made the same claim:

So both Finland and Sweden’s temperatures are rising twice as fast as the rest of the planet, and China is also warming faster than the global average.

Also, Singapore, Spain, the Arctic, Alaska, national parks, and all of Europe have been warming twice as fast as the global average, while Australia is heating up faster than the rest of the world. You do the math.

It would seem climate change alarmists all want to claim their country is heating twice as fast as all the others.
