Pew announces that the US has recently taken in fewer refugees than the rest of the world — combined

Here’s an interesting graph from Pew Research Global on refugee resettlements. Up until 2017, the United States had taken in more refugees than the rest of the world for decades. And when Pew says “the rest of the world,” they don’t mean other countries — they mean all the countries, combined. So it’s only in the past two years that the entire rest of the planet has taken in more refugees than the United States alone.
