Word is that Prof. Pamela Karlan has apologized for an obviously rehearsed line that dragged 13-year-old Barron Trump’s name into the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing Wednesday. Karlan took a lot of heat for bringing a minor child into politics, and even Melania Trump took to Twitter to tell her she should be ashamed.
PBS White House correspondent and MSNBC contributor Yamiche Alcindor gave the bad pun a “Wow” and described the line as “fire words.”
Fire words from Professor Pamela S. Karlan.
"While the president can name his son Barron (Trump), he can't make him a Barron (a rank of nobility or title of honour in England, often hereditary)."
Wow.

Glad she added the definition of baron in there; we’d never had understood the connection.
Is "fire words" slang for hateful snark from an unhinged hag? The media deserves to have Trump as POTUS for four more years. https://t.co/Bh11CX4V1N

You know a joke is solid when it needs parenthesis.

So sad when you hate someone so much you not only besmirch them but also their child. Cruel statement here. You should delete this and apologize.

She won’t. It’s a sickness. #TDS

Yeah “fire words”. A crack about the name of the President’s son radiates poise & professionalism in this most “solemn and prayerful” undertaking.

Not only did this journalist get the tingles when Democrats' witness attacked a 13-year-old child, she sent a tweet about it. https://t.co/RLhY6xMgFg

Democrats think it's perfectly acceptable to reference the name of President Trump's teenage son to score political points.
But if a Republican wants to discuss Hunter Biden's bad business deals in Ukraine? Nope! It's a conspiracy!
What a sham. https://t.co/CA8RndBFNw

How is it possible that someone is even remotely impressed by this performance? It's the kind of dumb joke your angry liberal aunt makes on Facebook, and it has nothing to do with anything they're trying to impeach Trump for. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills https://t.co/ZyCKL4MAlT

People don't find #Karlans rhetoric "fire", but "journalists" do.
Further exemplifying the giant schism between media and country they cover. https://t.co/l7XEvcvyjf

It was a well rehearsed, throw away comment that was a really bad idea.

Sigh. Baron. The name of the title is Baron, you illiterate lackwit. https://t.co/HpVvAnvose

Yes, fire words! Dumpster fire, but fire nonetheless. Like PBS' objectivity apparently.

If that was fire, then this thing really is a dud! Wow..how out of touch are you? ??

Wow is right…destroyed any measure of credibility she had in one sentence.

Same media that said you can’t point out @ewarren lied about her son going to public school because you don’t attack kids now praises line using @realDonaldTrump son’s name as a bizarre metaphor. This is why the media is no longer trusted and @NewsHour should be ashamed #frauds
