Who to trust … USA Today reports, “No, Stephen Strasburg didn’t snub President Trump during the White House visit,” but some site called Pop Culture is reporting, “Nationals’ Stephen Strasburg doesn’t shake Donald Trump’s hand at World Series celebration.”
Rudy Gersten, who has bylines in the Washington Post, posted a short clip to Twitter showing Strasburg snubbing Trump, and it has 23,000 likes.
Strasburg left Trump hanging. ? pic.twitter.com/LFNQTpCs89

That’s funny, because Strasburg himself jumped on Twitter to report an instance of fake news.

Rather than take down the clip, the Post’s guy left it up, admitting it’s the fakest of news … but he thought it was funny, so, whatever.
The fakest news, but still made me laugh. Thanks for everything Stras.

Enjoy your victory.
I’m sorry you have to run your own damage control on this.

Guy cuts video to promote phony narrative, gets called out by Nats MVP. Fantastic. pic.twitter.com/BW1aR1iK0e

Oops!

Media is trying to lie about these players, and the literal MVP had to call it out.
Amazing.

Lol, I knew someone would try to make this a thing out of context. Strasburg shook his hand 10 seconds later https://t.co/W6QywWxD4h

Where’s the rest of the video?

Well done. Anyone that watched the video for five more seconds saw you shake his hand.

Exceptionally rude. Reflects poorly on him.

I know you are not rude to anyone ❤️
— Yodadore (@KA_Gould) November 5, 2019
That's the most poorly edited piece of video tomfoolery ever seen

Rudy: bylines in @washingtonpost — say no more… #FakeNews
— John Crifasi (@jcrifasi1) November 5, 2019
It was painted unfairly, he shook his hand. I for one am sick of the bullshit that it's not ok to mingle with one or another political party. Or promote dissing one or the other. This country is broken. I for one would like to see someone start unifying it.

I'm a @Braves fan, but my son is a @Nationals fan, so I was rooting for you guys. Your performance in the World Series was awe-inspiring.
With this tweet, I'm now an even bigger fan of yours. Congratulations on your victory, and thank you for getting the truth out there.
