This is a confusing tweet from CNN because the text at the top says that pregnant Florida mom shot a home intruder with an automatic rifle, yet the text at the bottom says it was an AR-15. So which was it?
A Florida man said two armed men invaded his home and were beating him when his wife, eight months pregnant, saved the day by shooting one of the intruders with an automatic rifle, a CNN affiliate reports https://t.co/DHb6eSlpnI

With a chainsaw bayonet
— Kenny Estes (@KearnyKenny) November 5, 2019
Are you sure it was an automatic rifle?
— Todd (@phoneguy24) November 5, 2019
"Automatic rifle?" Where are you getting this?
— NickWebb (@Nck_Wbb) November 5, 2019
Fully semi auto ghost gun that shoots 30 caliber clips, no doubt.
— joseph ddd (@joseph_d_d_) November 5, 2019
I heard it was a Tommy Gun from Prohibition days. ?

I choose to picture her using a WWII-vintage BAR.

Probably a semi-automatic rifle. I don't think he would pay the tax to own an automatic weapon. Just a guess, but reporters need to educate themselves if they are going to report on weapon stories.

Was it the kind that goes "boom", boom", boom" or "taratatatatatatatatat"? Lets be specific here, please.

Artillery and a Harrier jet were also used.

Honestly. ??♀️

Because a bullet automatically comes out when you pull the trigger. Duh.
— Ripper T (@rippertsmith) November 5, 2019
I think they really think AR stands for automatic rifle. Idiots.
— Dyzzi (@dyzzispell) November 5, 2019
1. It was an AR-15 not an automatic.
2. I’m surprised CNN is covering this.— Leonardo Jacobs (@_leolionheart_) November 5, 2019
They couldn't help mentioning people shot by an AR, no matter the circumstances.
— Jacob Alan (@jamfh7) November 5, 2019
It's CNN, "The Most Trusted Name In News" or something.
— Vern Demerest (@TxAv8r) November 5, 2019
Obviously they have no idea what they are talking about. Frankly, it's almost laughable

Jesus CNN a 10 second google search would have helped here
— Mike Russo (@mike_mikerusso) November 5, 2019
It’s fun watching CNN talk about guns.
— John Matheny (@johnmatheny20) November 5, 2019
Who needs actual facts when you have a narrative to push?
— Kevin Dalton (@NextLAMayor) November 5, 2019
The article also says she fired just one shot from this “automatic” rifle. ?♂️

That is some amazing trigger control.
You guys are…just…really bad at covering guns, aren't you?
— Amy Swearer (@AmySwearer) November 5, 2019
They are just really bad at covering anything

Update:
Looks like Brian Stelter let them know accuracy always matters.
A Florida man said armed men invaded his home and were beating him when his wife, eight months pregnant, shot one of the intruders with a semiautomatic rifle, a CNN affiliate reports. (Corrects type of rifle used) https://t.co/GubCBMSvIK
