As Twitchy reported Sunday, Brian Stelter devoted part of his “Reliable Sources” show on CNN to analyzing President Trump’s Twitter misspellings.

The morning after, Stelter made it clear what the point of the segment was; that Trump makes a LOT more mistakes than everybody else.
The main point I made about this on air: Everybody makes spelling mistakes. But Trump makes a LOT more of them than most public figures. It's not the biggest thing in the world, but it still matters. Accuracy always matters… https://t.co/sp2hJwDzX1

Accuracy always matters … says the guy whose network just less than an hour ago called an AR-15 an automatic rifle.
Not enough to do a Zapruder- like review and still talk about 24 hours later

Must bash Trump? must find something,…. job depends on it

Keep running towards that fire, Brian.

And just what would YOU know about accuracy? https://t.co/LiZFP98v6j

You consider this guy a “reliable source” so GTFOH with “accuracy matters”. https://t.co/EAnnnmr95Q pic.twitter.com/OSHFJeUXYc

Should probably tell your employer about this accuracy thing. Since they lie alot. https://t.co/zcf8s0NCfP

“Accuaracy matters” ?????? Because CNN is so accurate

Accuracy matters?
Hasn't CNN been telling us for three years that "The walls are closing in on Trump"?
That there are "mountains of evidence of Russia collusion"?— Ret Doc (@retinaldoctor) November 4, 2019
“Accuracy matters”. Coming from you and anyone @CNN is comedy gold. Well done fake news king. https://t.co/6rrYnA2c5w

What's a "misspelling error"?
Is that a word spelled correctly?
— Zionist Redneck (@gone_galt) November 4, 2019
And the main point here is that this is pathetic. Ever wonder why ratings are what they are? https://t.co/91bMbyT2Ng

The main point you made on air is you shouldn’t be on air.

Now do your list of Biden gaffes, you weapons-grade moron.

How many times will Brian get ratioed on this subject. He seems pathologically unable to admit this was ridiculous to report on. This was a segment of what he claimed would be Reliable Sources “best show ever”. https://t.co/22BqLB5lbz

Not a bad point:
Every spelling error creates an extra media cycle, and its ripples are a force-multiplier on the substance of what he's trying to say. This is a feature, not a bug, and media stories about the typos themselves play right into his hands. Showing the typos = repeating the message. https://t.co/MpjUy103ys
