We certainly didn’t agree with Lena Dunham when she was chosen as the “How do you do, fellow kids” campaign chair of Hillary Clinton’s desperate attempt to reach all the millennials who were infatuated with Bernie Sanders.
And we don’t agree with the premise of her post here either: “Any negativity that comes your way is just an excuse to love yourself more”? Maybe negativity is coming your way because you’re a horrible person and you’ve earned it.
No one in the Twitchy readership has earned this nude photo of Dunham, but if you comment, it will cost her a dollar, so there’s that.
Any negativity that comes your way is just an excuse to love yourself even more, right? Comment on my IG post ?? with a reason you love yourself. For every comment in the next week, I’ll be donating a dollar to @PeggyAlbrechtFH https://t.co/oD8TPcfF1r pic.twitter.com/CfbAY2wC2U

Anyway, here are plenty of excuses for Dunham to love herself more.

I love myself for not looking like the slob in the picture. People that love themselves might want to take care of themselves…

Why do celebs always use nudes when talking about this type of thing? Why not a make up free selfie or a pic with their dog like the rest of us when making a similar point? Is it vanity or do they really think this is the way to prove comfort in one’s skin? https://t.co/XW10ZUYPh6

I used to be such a big fan of yours but I just can’t forgive someone who went out of her way to lie and defend an abuser. The negativity coming your way is not because the way you look but please keep polishing that imaginary target you set up yourself.
