Due to an 'oversight,' Muslim children in Philadelphia talk about chopping off heads at pageant

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) passed along to Fox News footage of children at the Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center in Philadelphia celebrating Ummah Day by singing songs about chopping off heads and subjecting to eternal torture those who defy Allah.

The MAS Islamic Center had posted the video to its Facebook page … Facebook, the social media platform that just banned a handful of accounts for their “dangerous” content.

The Philadelphia Inquirer followed up and MAS confirmed the video is real and the translation is correct; it blames “poor vetting” for the song selection:

“While we celebrate the coming together of different cultures and languages, not all songs were properly vetted,” the Muslim American Society, based in Washington, said in a statement issued Friday. “This was an unintended mistake and an oversight in which the center and the students are remorseful. MAS will conduct an internal investigation to ensure this does not occur again.”

According to MEMRI, the youths read: “We will defend the land of divine guidance with our bodies, and we will sacrifice our souls without hesitation.” They also said: “We will lead the army of Allah fulfilling His promise, and we will subject them to eternal torture.”

In other videos, students sing songs about the “blood of martyrs” and “Rebels, rebels, rebels.” The videos were posted on the center’s Facebook page, the media monitoring group said, but the videos included in the MEMRI report appear to have been taken down from the center’s page.

They’ll never even hear about it. The group recently issued an “action alert,” though, calling on its members to sign a letter in support of Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib:

Recently, Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, the first Muslim American women elected to Congress, have been under attack for speaking out against special interest lobbying on Capitol Hill. As a result, both have received serious death threats, with the focus most recently being on Rep. Omar for her recent comments regarding AIPAC and Israel’s influence on US policy. Democratic Leadership has focused their efforts on her and her comments instead of condemning all forms of bigotry and protecting her.

Democratic leadership has focused all their efforts on her and her comments? They completely caved and did pass a watered-down resolution that condemned Islamophobia — although this video from Philadelphia isn’t doing much to quell our Islamophobia.
