Washington Post correspondent Philip Bump posted this Thursday morning as the Mueller report was being released, but it’s managed to hang around all day because people can’t help but stop and stare and wonder if it’s a parody or not.
So what did we learn from the Mueller report aside from the fact that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia? We learned that the press, which spent two years reporting about ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, was “on the mark.”
This report makes clear that the vast amount of reporting by mainstream outlets about Trump and Russia was on the mark.

The replies to this are quite instructive about the extent to which there are diverging universes in which people live.
— Philip Bump (@pbump) April 18, 2019
Indeed — there are those who live life in the New York/Washington D.C. media bubble, and then there’s the rest of America.
I heard there was a ratio party.

You must be on acid!
The reporting sucked, like the hoax itself – a complete lie.
Papadapolos was set up, there was no crime!
Trump was guilty of treason – NOT!
Collusion – what a joke.

This report makes clear that if the mainstream media makes a bunch of predictions a few may even be correct.
That's far from "They are all going to jail" which was pounded into our heads for 2 years straight.

Absolutely the mainstream media should be lauded and applauded for the continuous
"Factual News" it has reported since the beginning.

So the reporting was on the mark but the conclusions were all wrong.
Is that like the reporting on the election was correct but the outcome was not the way they want it to go? LOL— Realtor Rusty (@investnland) April 18, 2019
If the reporting was so good and on the mark journos would not have to spend half of the day on Twitter trying to convince everyone it was. The reporting should be able to speak for itself but it can’t so credibility in the trash.
