Someone at the Washington Post remembered that Ralph Northam never explained that yearbook photo

The last time we checked in on Gov. Ralph Northam, he was embarking on his “reconciliation tour,” making a stop at the historically black Virginia Union University to explain how sorry he was about that yearbook photo that at first he thought was of him but then decided wasn’t him — although he did admit that he’d dressed in blackface for a dance contest where he did the moonwalk.

Of course, he didn’t lose his job or resign, and someone at the Washington Post must have been daydreaming and suddenly remembered: Northam never really did explain that photo, did he? (He did explain the “Coonman” nickname, but we forget how.)

The cherry on the top of this sundae is that the Washington Post mistakenly filed this under “Opinion.”

How many stops were there on his reconciliation tour anyway? Just that one? Did he explain the yearbook photo there?
